The Church at Auvres.

At night it is as heartbreaking as someone's funeral.
The colours are as thick as mud.
Refreshing in the morning air.
As nice as your boyfriend.
Windows shining like stars.

By Amy Thompson. Age 10 years.

Vincent's Bedroom in Arles.

Relaxed cool atmosphere.
Filled with solitude.
An insignificant breeze coming through the window.
Bedcover are as red as sunflowers.
The table as brown as chocolate.
Polished furniture sparkling like glass.

Doctor Paul Cachet.

Red as Hot Lava.
Dark blue like the sea.
Light blue like the sky.
Eyes as sad as a pupil in the street.

Starry Night.

It is a welcoming and warm city.
With twinkling stars shining on a black sky.
The reflections from the lights and stars is exciting.
It is saying hello, please come here.

Wheatfield with a lark.

Brown, red, black, white, blue, orange, green.
Thickly swaying wheat fields.
Browns as dark as mud.
Flowers bending as a flexible snake.
It makes me feel like relaxing in my comfortable soft bed.

By Jonathon Davison. Age10

Windmills.

Grey windmills circling in the summer breeze.
A turning and grinding windmill.
A grey four-sided shape.
Mud as brown as chocolate.
The blended colours of the sky.
Flowers reaching for the sky.
Van Gogh's sky as blue as the sea.

By Karl Costello. Age 10

The Church at Auvers.

At night when all the animals are a sleep a wonderful sight appears in the darkness.
There stands the church.
A church with sadness all around.
With bright flowers singing.
Windows as clean as the sea.
In the church yard people stand looking up.
With their captain at the top who gives no command Name

Natalie Burns. Age 9.
